Morbid Thoughts of Food

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

by Maureen

He hears the bells toll,
they toll for him.
The crows caw at the sound
and take flight.

Near death he walks,
slow and crippled is his pace.
Deprived of the food
that feeds his soul.

The crows follow him.
They won’t wait for his death,
bit by bit
they pick at his flesh.

His heart pounds,
his strength wanes.
He can’t keep them at bay.
It’s his time, his time to die.

His sacrifice is their food,
their feast is
his flesh….
and the bells toll….
and the crows caw….
and thee end will finally come.

If only I were but a breeze,
Oh…this moment I would seize.
Her youthful freckles, aged so fine,
A child like musing they outline.

Wondrous windows of her mind,
Playful, teasing, and refined.
And what thoughts has she today?
Collective patterns set for play.

Gentle kisses every where…
Touching, tasting, all with care.
There are none that can compare,
When you kiss the lips, of one so fair.

Magic

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

by Grace V Tidrow

You have magic in your finger tips,
Magic in your eye.
Magic in the arms that hold
And tell me not to cry.
There is magic in your voice
When you talk to me each day.
There is magic in your smile
And in the things you say.
there is magic in the way
You let me be myself with you.
There is magic that you teach me
To be good and brave and true.
I am growing older
And soon I’ll go away,
But the magic that you taught me
Will go with me every day.

Companionship by Sage Maiden

We walk alone
Shoulder to Shoulder

Seeking truth, loyalty, and love
…Just like you.

Avoid the eyes of judgment
Fear of rejection

I breath a sign of relief
…you had nothing to say
Sit alone with wonder
Could I have thought of a thing to say?

We walk alone
Shoulder to Shoulder

Take a step aside while trembling
Through the veil of separation
Feel the pain of letting go
Of what is known

Move through the hurt of past days
Pain still fresh only within
Seek out belonging
Yet again with avoidance of the eyes

How binding fear can be.

We walk alone
Shoulder to Shoulder

Take a breath
Take a step
Feel the tremble
Feel the doubt
Reach out and feel the begin of the fall

You only simply seek companionship
…I know no bounds

Who would have known
I would not fall after all

Still weary yet do not hesitate.
Smile with your cheer
Blush with your joy
Confide in equal parts
How similar we actually are

We walk together
Shoulder to Shoulder

Emotions of a different color

… through the accomplishments

… through the disappointments

… through the lazy days.

I find I can breath again

So glad now I am to be apart
… of someone just like me

How far and alone I thought to be
Yet how close you always were to me

So fearful I had been
How foolish I feared

We no longer walk alone
I found the eternal bound of us all.
I in you and you in I.

To sleeping corners of chenwrith,
the moon will wait for you my friend.
To dance in flesh, take my hand in earth and sky.

Wait to speak of ancient wood,
to dream we someday die.

Ember dances to flame of breath,
the beast lay silent upon your chest.
The sorrow mount this day be done,
I call upon you my weeping sun.

Poem For A Young Girl

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Live your own life!
Believe in it the best you can!
It is your life!
Don’t waste it on another’s
repetitive plan
Dream the happiest dream you can possibly think of
Follow those happy thoughts of love
And there, my darling, is where you will end up

Pray to the love within your
nighttime dreams
Coax the love out into the light of day
Or in the dark of the night your love will stay

When fairies of the other side stop by your stream to play
Let loose of spells you’ve bound
Allow yourself to play
Be the stream meandering
Don’t be afraid to stray
Pick up speed with wild
abandoning thrill
Don’t be afraid of rocks standing in your way

If you stay deep within the spring
Then autumn you’ll never know
Dream softly of the things you love
But wake before the winter snow
To wait to taste the refreshing kindness
In the white fluffy cold

Life is long
But soon comes the day
Where all that is left is your unique song
Of the beautiful music you were born to play
Sing it watchfully from the peaks of your dreams
No matter what you may think is going wrong
Tragedy does nothing but strengthen
The soaring white wings of a beautiful swan

Live your love in moments of sadness
What comes easily is easily lost
Work gently in the fury of
madness
Gather your treasure before the first frost
Remember everything you steal
You will eventually pay back the cost
If you find yourself off balance staggering to find your way
Enjoy the adventure freely
flowing before you find the bay

Your imagination is not the only place you are a princess
Mother earth’s eyes know your empowering beauty as well
Discover that you are not what you thought you were
When you were but a mystery to yourself
Knowledge is many things
But wisdom only comes from inside your true self
Don’t let your dreams die
For the fearful tears running down the cheeks of someone else

Follow your god given intuition
Let the pure hearts play along your banks
Swing amongst your branches
Dive into the cool waters of your emotions
And dry off in the warmth of your smile
If young love chips at your wild heart
Spread smoothly white light
Upon the skin of your inner child

Dance, dance, dance, you are the dance to dance,
Shake, shake, shake, smile while dreaming awake, and be silly
Laugh at the flowering jokers
Encourage the compassion of the lovers who are willing
Understand love is the guide
Understand love is what you are feeling
So do not think twice
To live your life as a human here for love’s healing

Be kind to yourself
And open to the possibilities of the day
Noting it is as it is
So don’t forget to play
If I were a mountain
Then with you I would surely stay
But as I am only a man
All I can offer is a single day

As the morning flower
Greets the blossoming day
I offer you a gentle breeze
And dew drop kisses to shine your perfect face
